"I guess if I need a handle, you can call me a contemporary folk musician. I've been fortunate, however, to grow up playing a lot of different music with a lot of different people. I mean, I've come from singing chorals and madrigals, to hard rock, to acoustic folk and blues, and I still love it all. That's why I'd have to choose folk music. It's as diverse as the people who make it, and anyone who's been to a festival knows how broad a spectrum that covers."
